Teen injured in rollover accident in Linn County

SPRINGVILLE, Iowa (KCRG) – A teenager was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a rollover accident in Linn County Wednesday afternoon.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office said it happened on Springville Road, near Elbow Creek Road, around 2 p.m.

First responders arrived and found a Honda Accord in the nearby field.

Officials said it had rolled several times and suffered significant damage.

The only person in the vehicle was the driver, a 17-year-old from Mount Vernon, who officials said was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

The driver was cited for failure to maintain control.
