As the latest season of New York Fashion Week took place in Manhattan, the industry’s most prominent designers unveiled collections offering a preview of the trends planned for spring 2025. During Badgley Mischka’s presentation, the Color, texture and beaded embellishments were the themes of the day, embraced both on the runway and by event attendees, including Meredith Marks.

The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star stepped out for the occasion — which took place at Periyali Greek Restaurant on Friday, Sept. 6 — in an iridescent blue dress. The striking number was accented with unique design details like a cinched waist, one-sleeved silhouette and a deep neckline that gave the style a more ethereal appeal. Marks elegantly styled her look with tied silver Bottega Veneta heels and a structured clutch for a welcome contrast.

“What really inspired me was how this dress reflected the refined glamor that Badgley Mischka is known for, but with a twist that feels very personal to me,” Marks told PS. “I love how the collection plays with vibrant colors and sophisticated silhouettes, but this piece stands out for its striking balance of structure and fluidity.”

Marks’ lively set embodied a Mykonos-inspired coastal vibe; it was as if she was ready for a yacht trip around the Greek islands. The duo behind Badgley Mischka, Mark Badgley and James Mischka, drew inspiration from similar themes to construct their spring 2025 collection.

“We started thinking about Jackie Kennedy Onassis aboard the Christina O (Aristotle Onassis’s infamous super-yacht), and how they would spend the most incredible summers cruising around the Mediterranean,” said Badgley to P.S. “And all the beautiful women who were on board at the time: the movie stars, the socialites and their whole gang of amazing people.”

As for the collection itself, Mischka explained that she sought to redefine “cocktail attire,” with attractive and versatile pieces for younger consumers. “A lot of (the collection) is our classic looks, but we discovered that our customers wanted a different way to wear themselves for evening; we started creating fun cabana sets and rompers in precious fabrics for make them look important and couture.”

Getting ready for a NYFW show – especially one as glamorous as Badgley Mischka’s – is no easy feat. Marks then details what happened while preparing for the fashion presentation. From eye-catching Ace heels to caviar, keep reading to see what she used to bring her look to life.
