Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. isn’t just making the playoffs.

On Friday, the Royals lost to the Atlanta Braves 3-0 at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. But the team still managed to clinch a playoff spot after the Minnesota Twins also lost a deciding game to the Baltimore Orioles.

During the locker room champagne celebration, Witt found time to send a message to the Royals faithful as the team enters its first postseason in nearly a decade.

“Kansas City, we’ll see you in October,” Witt said. “We didn’t come this far just to get this far. The best is yet to come. Let’s go!”
