Marion County Sheriff’s Office announces passing of long-time reserve deputy

MARION COUNTY, Ark. (KY3) – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday that one of its reserve deputies passed away over the weekend.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called Saturday morning to a house in the Oakland area regarding a person who had died.

The sheriff’s office identified the man as 78-year-old James Jenson. A family member told authorities Jenson suffered from extensive health issues and was under the care of home health professionals.

Investigators found Jenson died of natural causes.

Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander said Jenson was a long-time Marion County Reserve Deputy who covered the Oakland area.
