Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday shed light on former President and current GOP nominee Donald Trump’s offensive claim that his Democratic rival in the 2024 election, Vice President Kamala Harris , was “mentally disabled”.

Trump, at a rally this weekend, falsely claimed that “Kamala is mentally deficient,” that President Joe Biden “became mentally deficient, Kamala was born that way” and that “if you think about it, only a “a mentally disabled person could have allowed this to happen.” to our country.

CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Graham about the moment, telling the Trump loyalist: “So, first of all, there are real people with mental disabilities, and it’s insulting to them. Second, Vice President Kamala Harris is not mentally deficient.

“No,” Graham agreed, adding, “I just think she’s a crazy liberal.”

Tapper asked Graham about Trump’s rhetoric.

Graham raised his hands, shrugged, and replied, “I just think the best course of action is to pursue the case that his policies are destroying the country.” They are crazy liberals.

Graham later said of Harris: “I’m not saying she’s crazy. I say your party and your policies are completely crazy.

“Well, those are not my policies,” Tapper clarified.
