Android Authority’s in-depth analysis of the latest Google Meet update suggests that Google is about to pull the plug on the app on Android TV. The wording of the code makes it clear that this change is about to happen.

Based on some pretty revealing strings of code found in the update, Google Meet is likely being removed from Android TV entirely.

Google Meet, formerly Duo, was introduced to Android TV in 2020. It allows users to make video calls on the big screen by connecting a webcam to their TV.

There has been no official word from Google on this change yet. Android Central has requested comment and will update the post when we hear back.
