Officials miss 2-point attempt by Seahawks, who do not contest

The Seahawks got as close as 28-20 for 11 seconds, but after Kenneth Walker’s 1-yard run, they decided to make it two. This is a decision recommended by the analyses.

Geno Smith threw a pass to DK Metcalf in the end zone during the try. Metcalf seized it, but authorities deemed it incomplete. Cornerback Carlton Davis was called for pass interference, giving Seattle another chance.

Replays, however, showed that Metcalf took his knee inbounds, so it should have been considered a successful try.

Seattle did not contest.

Smith’s second try to Jake Bobo fell incomplete, leaving the Lions holding an 8-point lead.

The Lions took a two-point lead on their next snap.

Jared Goff hit Jameson Williams for a 70-yard score on one play and a 35-20 lead.

Goff is 15 of 15 for 225 yards and a touchdown, and he also caught a touchdown pass on a trap play with Amon-Ra St. Brown throwing his first touchdown.
