SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — Shreveport police detectives are searching for a man in connection with a fatal stabbing.

Cornelius Jackson, also known as “Mookey,” is wanted for the murder of 51-year-old Eric Clinton.

Clinton was found unconscious and fatally injured around 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, in the 1900 block of Legardy Street. He had been stabbed several times. Clinton was taken to Ochsner LSU Health, where he died at 10:35 a.m. the same day.

Clinton’s death marks the 40th homicide this year in Shreveport and the 43rd homicide in Caddo Parish.

“Cornelius Jackson is considered armed and dangerous, and SPD detectives will not rest until he is located and brought to justice,” the police statement said.
