Cass County nonprofit announces leadership change

BELTON, Mo. (KCTV) – A Cass County nonprofit announces a change in leadership.

Alexis Butterfield announced she decided to step down from her position at Heart-n-Hand Ministries in Belton to spend more time with her family.

“My time at Heart-n-Hand has been nothing short of incredible. My husband and I stepped in around April 2018 and HNH was on the brink of closing his doors. We recognized how essential HNH was for Belton and the surrounding communities,” Butterfield said in a statement.

Heart-n-Hand announced it hired Samuel Newby as its incoming Executive Director.

The nonprofit says Newby is from Kansas City and has nearly two decades of experience in operations and program management at churches and non-profit organizations.

Butterfield said she expects to see Heart-n-Hand flourish under Newby’s guidance as the organization worked to continue providing resources and services to people in need.

Heart-n-Hand says it does not expect any interruptions in any of its programs.
