Kettering Council to help elderly people pay their winter fuel bills

Kettering Borough Council leader Lloyd Bunday said: “We are pleased to be able to offer these grants to local people as we know they can be a lifeline during the colder months.

“This year grants are expected to be in the region of £68, subject to review at the end of the application period.”

Residents have until November 28 to apply for the program, before grants are paid out before Christmas.

The city council said Kettering Charities for the Poor made 258 grants in 2023.

Forms for this year’s program are available online, external or at reception at the North Northamptonshire Council offices on Bowling Green Road, Kettering.
