A Very Royal Scandal – Official Trailer | Main video

The third part of this Amazon Original, which began with that of 2018 A very English scandal and then 2021 A very British scandal, A very royal scandal is a historical drama centered on Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Michael Sheen plays Prince Andrew, describing the events leading up to his high-profile 2019 BBC interview for Newsnight, when journalist Emily Maitlis, played by Ruth Wilson, pressed him on everything from his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein to his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. His responses during the interview were not viewed favorably, to put it lightly. In fact, the public outcry was so massive that this crucial interview played a role in Prince Andrew’s announcement of his withdrawal from public duties.

Just released mid-September 2024, A very royal scandal is a worthy sequel for those who enjoyed the first two series and for anyone fascinated by the royal family. Prince Andrew’s situation being much more publicized around the world than the Thorpe affair which was covered by A very English scandal and the Argyll divorce at the center of A very British scandal, A very royal scandal maybe the one that everyone has their eyes on to watch and pick apart.

Move over, Mrs. Doubtfire. Mrs. Brown’s Boys is a sitcom centered around a character named Agnes Brown, created and played by Irish comedian Brendan O’Carroll. It’s a light-hearted comedy that follows his antics with his family members and friends. She often breaks the fourth wall, and the show doesn’t bother to remove moments that would otherwise be considered nonsense and mistakes. You can even sometimes see the equipment and crew in the background, it’s all part of the fun of the show.

Although it received poor reviews throughout its run, Mrs. Brown’s Boys has enjoyed great success in the UK where it was launched as well as Ireland where it is set, and has also become a hit in other countries including Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The series doesn’t take itself seriously at all, breathing new life into a character created by O’Carroll in the 90s who has appeared in plays, radio plays, books and films. Since the main series ended in 2013, there have been numerous specials and a fourth season revival in 2023 because fans simply can’t get enough of Mrs. Brown and all her cheeky mischief.
