Fire Prevention Week: Free Alarms Offered Through “Get Alarmed, TN” Program

JACKSON, Tenn. — A small device can save your life, which is why local businesses are coming together to keep you informed.

October 6 begins Fire Prevention Week.

The National Fire Protection Association and the Jackson Fire Department are teaming up to campaign. This year, the goal is to make everyone aware of the importance of smoke alarms in their homes.

In 2012, the State of Tennessee launched its “Get Alarmed, TN” program where your local fire station will provide you with detectors for free. For more information about the program or to request an alarm, click here.
