Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office announces new changes to the department

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has announced a change in leadership within the department.

Last month, Deputy Tyler Schultz was promoted to patrol corporal, Corporal Brad Ward was promoted to patrol sergeant, Sergeant Wayne Connell was promoted to patrol lieutenant and Dan Newton was promoted to patrol captain.

Sheriff Jerome Kramer said these new changes are exciting.

“I probably have the best command staff I’ve ever seen here in the 43 years I’ve been here and I’m really confident and excited about the future of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department,” Kramer said.

Kramer said he is confident the new leadership change will help the department.

“It takes a lot off my plate because I know I can leave here at any time and go on vacation or whatever and they won’t even notice I’m gone because that’s what they do every day and they know that I trust them,” Kramer said.

He said maintaining a strong structure is essential for the department.

“This is the first time I’ve been sure that everyone shares my beliefs,” Kramer said.
