Man seriously injured after early morning stabbing in Kent

An adult man was hospitalized after being stabbed in the chest in Kent early Thursday morning, according to the Kent Police Department.

Police said the incident happened around 4 a.m. Thursday morning in the 23000 block of 126th Avenue SE. When officers arrived, they found an adult male who had been stabbed in the chest.

The man was taken to hospital a short time later, where he was reported to be in critical condition before undergoing surgery, according to Kent Police.

Currently, no suspects are in custody, according to police. Police, however, confirmed that their suspect was a woman.

Police said their initial information indicates the stabbing was not a random incident.

KPD said they plan to search the scene for additional evidence.
