Chevrolet Announces Incredible NASCAR Breast Cancer Initiative in October

This October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Chevrolet is partnering with the American Cancer Society to support the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative. As part of the collaboration, Chevrolet will debut a pink Camaro SS as the official pace car for NASCAR races throughout the month, helping to raise awareness and support for the cause.

As part of its commitment to raise awareness and support for those affected by breast cancer, Chevrolet will also provide unforgettable experiences for survivors and caregivers at each race. These special guests have the opportunity to experience unique behind-the-scenes moments, reflecting Chevrolet’s ongoing commitment to this important cause.

Chevrolet is further emphasizing its commitment to the NASCAR initiative by committing financial support to the campaign. For every caution lap completed during the race, the American automaker is pledging to donate $350 to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative, with a maximum contribution of $50,000, ensuring that every moment spent on the track contributes to a meaningful cause.

Alyssa Haba, Chevrolet Motorsports Director of Strategic Planning and Operations, said it was an honor to support the breast cancer initiative. She said in a statement:

“We are proud to continue our partnership with the American Cancer Society and carry the ACS logo on the pace car during the month of October.

“It’s always an honor to be able to use our platform in motorsport to support the initiative and continue to play a role in the fight against breast cancer.”

In 2023, Chevrolet’s program contributed $40,250, generated by 115 caution laps. After its debut at Talladega, the iconic pink Chevrolet Camaro will return to the track at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
