Michael Schumacher’s brother admits ‘life is unfair’ during F1 legend’s health update: ‘He taught me everything…’

Ralf Schumacher has admitted that he misses his old brother Michael Schumacher; however, he accepted the fact that sometimes life isn’t fair. The Schumacher brothers ruled the Formula 1 circuits and became the first fraternal couple to achieve victories in F1. They are also the first siblings to take first and second podiums in the same race. However, life took an unexpected turn in their lives when Michael suffered a horrific accident while skiing in the French Alps, hitting his head on a rock. Since then, the F1 legend’s life has been low-key, with the family deciding to keep his health a secret.

Michael reportedly made a surprise public appearance and recently attended his daughter’s wedding, his first public appearance since the accident.

Ralf shared his feelings about life after the horrific skiing accident and shared his relationship with Michael during their youth and F1 careers.

Speaking to German magazine Bunte, retired F1 star Ralf said: “Unfortunately, sometimes life is not fair. We have to accept that. When I see his children Gina-Maria and Mick, my heart smiles. If a family member is looking for my opinion, I am there. They go their own way.

He admitted: “I miss the Michael of old. Life is unfair from time to time. Michael was very lucky throughout his life. But then there was this tragic accident. Michael was not only my brother. When we were kids, he was also my coach and mentor. He literally taught me everything about kart racing.

Meanwhile, Ralf recently came out as gay and since then he has been involved in a dispute with his ex-wife, Cora. The couple separated and divorced in 2015. However, things took a turn for the worse after Ralf decided to come out as gay and revealed in July that he was in a relationship with his French business manager Etienne.

Cora said in an interview with Spiegel that her ex-husband’s announcement “was like a stab in the heart.”

She added: “Today I feel used during the marriage. I feel like I wasted my best years. I ask myself a lot of questions. Was he honest with me?

However, Ralf suggested Cora knew about her union with Etienne and posted screenshots of an alleged WhatsApp exchange from last year in which Cora appeared to congratulate her new partner.

Ralf has now decided to sell his house that he once shared with his ex-wife Cora.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, the property is now listed for sale by Marlies Muhr Real Estate, whose asking price is currently €4.85 million, the equivalent of £4.07 million.
