Sienna makes big promises to Ethan in first Hollyoaks wedding video | Soaps

Hollyoaks’ big wedding is fast approaching and intrigue over the planned twists and turns is palpable among fans.

Allow Metro to whet your appetite even more and make the wait a little more bearable with this first video clip.

Although it’s only the first 30 seconds of the episode, which lands on All4 on Monday September 7 before being broadcast on E4 at 7:30 p.m., it captures the vibe Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) feels about her married Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey).

It’s a rare sight to see Sienna this happy – and, as I warned before, don’t expect it to last – but she’s obviously very much in love.

Practicing her vows in front of a mirror while putting on bridal makeup, she promises to love Ethan and be with him for the rest of their lives.

With an excited smile, she then says “yes” several times, visibly ready to say them for real on the big day.

Meanwhile, we see a sleeping Ethan looking worse for wear as Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) wakes him up to get ready.

Ethan will be just as excited to get married, and we recently told you that they are indeed becoming husband and wife.

However, the year we missed is filled with secrets and everything may not be as it seems in the relationship as secrets are revealed.

With Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) on the periphery with ammunition to throw everything into chaos, even the deal struck doesn’t mean the day will end happily.

And then there’s Jez (Jeremy Sheffield), the fiercely protective father who is angry with Ethan.

He surely won’t let things pass without some sort of intervention – but how far will he go to teach Ethan a lesson?

It’s going to be a roller coaster week, and with Ethan set to leave the show, Sienna’s hopes for a long and happy future are inevitably going to be dashed.

But what’s wrong with this happy opening clip?

Gaps will be filled and disaster will follow – prepare for some drama as Sienna transforms into the character of yesteryear, as series boss Hannah Cheers teased when I caught up with her.

It’s going to be complicated…
