Incident on N. Royal Street results in heavy police presence

JACKSON, Tenn.—Tip tips are alerting us to a heavy police presence on N. Royal St. in Jackson.

Our WBBJ-7 Eyewitness News team was notified of a heavy police presence on North Royal Street in Jackson early Saturday evening.

When we arrived we discovered that North Royal was blocked at the intersection of Alice Street.

We spotted the Jackson Police Department as well as undercover officers searching the yard of a home.

Nearby neighbors alleged there had been a shooting, which was later confirmed by the Jackson Police Department.

The investigation is still ongoing.
