During his press conference after Man United’s draw against Fenerbahce, the Dutchman said he chose to “deny” and “ignore” the match because of the red card shown to Fernandes.

“I deny that game, ignore that game against Spurs because we were reduced to 10 with a 1-0 loss… And then the red card was turned. So I completely ignore that game,” said Ten Hag via ESPN.

Fernandes’ red card was overturned on October 1 after an appeal. Fans on social media were not happy with these comments from their under-fire manager.
