Pedestrians are killed in a crash on Blue Ridge Boulevard

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A pedestrian was killed in a collision on Blue Ridge Boulevard Wednesday evening.

Police said it happened in the area of Blue Ridge Boulevard and 103rd Terrace just before 7 p.m.

Kansas City, Missouri police said a preliminary investigation revealed a pedestrian was crossing Blue Ridge Boulevard from west to east and was in the middle of the southbound lanes when he was struck by at least one vehicle.

“The unknown vehicles left the scene without stopping and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene,” police said Wednesday evening.

It is the 81st fatality this year in Kansas City, Missouri.
