Car fire in Shrewsbury – police and firefighters attend incident

The incident happened in Sharpstone Lane, Bayston Hill, Shrewsbury – near where a truck crashed into the Three Fishes pub on Monday morning. Firefighters were also on scene.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service A spokesperson said: “At 1.39am on Thursday, November 14, SFRS fire control received a call reporting a car fire in Shrewsbury.

“Small hatchback involved in fire. Crews used two hose reels to extinguish the fire while wearing breathing apparatus.”

One fire engine was sent to the scene from Shrewsbury.
