Suspect leaves contact information in abandoned car

A man who abandoned his car after being caught driving more than 110mph (177km/h) was located after leaving a package with his name and address in the vehicle, police said.

Officers from the BCH Road Police Unit said on X that the driver failed to stop for them on the M25 and had used “fake number plates”.

The car was later found abandoned.

“Suspect helpfully left us his name and address in the car on a package – Silly boy!” they wrote, adding that the car had been seized and “prosecution would follow.”
