VIEWERS of Deal or No Deal have taken to the game show after ‘discovering’ a clue that everything is not as real as it is made out to be.

The show, which was revived last year with Stephen Mulhern as host, currently broadcasting its second series ITV and fans have already been very vocal about their feelings towards the show.

Every afternoon the contestants come together in the hope that one of them will walk away with a huge jackpot prize of £100,000.

At the beginning of each episode, the contestants’ names appear on the big screen as they wait to determine who will be the lucky player to battle the banker that day.

However, it’s this process that has led fans to say the show is ‘fake’ after discovering a huge clue as to why the selection process isn’t as random as claimed.

Keen-eyed ITV viewers were quick to point out that whoever is chosen to star in that day’s episode of Deal or No Deal always has a family member present sitting in the front row of the audience.

It has left them baffled as they wonder if the players are actually “surprised” when filming begins for each episode, or if their reactions are simply to play up for the cameras.

Write on X – previously Tweet – a viewer asked: “I was wondering if it’s a surprise who’s playing? How come their family/friends are there?”

Another added: “Why do #DealOrNoDeal participants react in shock when their name is chosen to play with a family member in the audience, or is the audience made up of many of the participants’ relatives?”

A third added: “Stupid question but if it’s a surprise which contestant gets picked, how come their family member is always in the right spot in the audience?

“If a participant is chosen at random, how come there are already friends/family in the front row? #DealOrNoDeal.”

Before a fourth chimed in: “You can tell it’s all fake…because pretty much every contestant is all behaving the same way.”

When a participant is playing, they frequently turn to their loved ones for advice and support throughout the game, gaining input from those closest to them.

They often assist in the decision-making process when it comes to big-money offers on the banker’s table.

For the entire time they are on the program, the contestants are kept together and live in the same hotel during filming.

During their chat with Stephen on the programme, the players regularly share anecdotes about the behind-the-scenes antics they get up to.

Throughout the ITV reboot, the players have continually referred to each other as ‘a family’ as a result of the close environment they find themselves in.

Since filming wrapped, they’ve even met up for a large group gathering, with some of the cast sharing photos with X.
