A warm afternoon before the cold front leads to much cooler air

Temperatures this morning will be around 60 degrees inland and around 70 degrees along the coast.

  • It will be a warm day with almost record highs.

  • Highs will be in the mid 80s inland and around 80 on the coast.

  • A high risk of rip currents remains on our local beaches.

  • A few morning showers in Southeast Georgia today.

  • A few evening showers ahead of the cold front tonight for NE Florida

  • Friday will be cooler, with 50 degrees in the morning and lower to mid 70s in the afternoon.

  • The 40s will arrive inland Saturday and Sunday morning (50s on the coast).

TROPICS:

  • Sara is developing over the western Caribbean and is expected to move into Central America and then the Yucatan Peninsula this weekend.

  • It is possible that Sara will then emerge over the Gulf of Mexico and possibly impact Florida on Wednesday, but changes in the forecast and exact details are uncertain.
