Truck driver taken to hospital after accident on M18

A lorry driver has been taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after a crash on the M18.

Humberside Police said two lorries collided on the M18 southbound near Greenlands Lane, near Goole, at around 11.35am GMT on Wednesday.

The driver of one of the trucks, a red Scania, was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Following the collision, the road was closed for several hours so officers could investigate and recover the two vehicles. It has now reopened.
