BTS Jin recently removed one of his hit singles from music streaming platforms despite the large number it has accumulated. The K-pop idol retired his silly song titled Super Tuna which was released in 2021. However, fans need not worry as he soon after released an extended version of the song for fans.

New version of deleted BTS song Jin tops US charts

In 2021, Jin unexpectedly released Super Tuna as a gift to his fans on his birthday. The song was a tribute to his love of fishing. The idol was shocked when the song was loved by fans and became one of the idol’s most popular songs. Thus, he recently removed the song from all music streaming platforms, only for it to be replaced with an extended version of the song, as reported by Koreaboo.

Also known as World Wide Handsome by fans, he announced the release of the new version in a live stream on Weverse on October 10th. The broadcast was to celebrate bandmate Jimin’s birthday, which is brought forward to September 13th. The extended version of Super Tuna was released on Thursday, October 11th.

Although the previous version of the song attracted a large number of streams, ARMYs made sure the extended version received the same love. The song also debuted at number one on the US iTunes World Chart.

Fans react to Jin’s exclusion from Super Tuna

Despite the new version, fans were shocked that Jin deleted the original Super Tuna song, which had a large number of streams. A fan wrote on X: “Super Tuna 1 Why doesn’t it exist? It had 100 million streams! You can combine streams. Please tell me if this is a bug, I can’t believe it was deleted!!” A second user wrote: “So what you’re telling me is that super tuna doesn’t exist anymore. Did Seok-jin really delete it? a song with 136 million streams?? damn **.”

A third user wrote: “Hey deleted the old version of Super Tuna which had over 100 million streams. Jin wasn’t kidding when he said he requested it be deleted, but why? achieved so much and now it’s all gone?”

Another user wrote: “THE OLD VERSION OF SUPER TUNA HAS BEEN DELETED FROM SPOTIFY. NOOOOOO OUR MEMORIES AND THESE 136M STREAMS,” while one wrote, “JIN DELETED THE ORIGINAL SUPER TUNA FROM STREAMING PLATFORMS?? HE KNOWS WE ARE FIGHTING FOR OUR LIVES TO INCREASE THEIR FLOWS.”
