Need a little break? Are you suffering from the mid-November blues? Escape the routine, grab a cup of coffee or cider and vote in round 2 of the 2024 Carol Countdown now!

What a first round! The Woolen Mittens Division had no shortage of surprises. In a stunning turnaround from last year’s final round, ‘Silent Night’ has been displaced by ‘Carol of the Bells’, while ‘White Christmas’ reigned victorious in the battle of nostalgic ’40s Christmas tunes and ‘The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting) defeated. on an open fire).”

In the Stocking Cap Division, the strength of the newcomers was evident! Handel’s ‘Hallelujah Chorus’ defeated ‘Deck the Halls’ to advance to Round 2, and ‘Coventry Carol’, also in action this year, defeated ‘We Three Kings’. In the battle between the Merry Gentleman and King Wenceslas, the Merry Gentlemen bring their tidings of comfort and joy to round 2.

Do we do “O Come, All Believers” or “O Come, O Come Emmanuel?” You have spoken and All Ye Faithful will move on to Round 2 in the Warm Scarf Division.

We’ve got our mitts on, round 2 is live and you’re invited to join the fight!

Voting for the second round is open until midnight on November 18. We announce the Christmas carols going ahead and open voting for round 3 on November 21st. Stay up to date with CPR Classical and sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date on how your favorite Christmas carolers are doing.
