The Union of European Football Associations has appointed an ethics and disciplinary inspector to investigate Premier League referee David Coote.

There’s a video allegedly showing me sucking like white powder at Euro 2024.

This all happened after PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials Limited) said they would take the new allegations surrounding Coote “very seriously”.

PGMOL said: “We are aware of the allegations and take them very seriously.

“David Coote remains suspended pending a full investigation.

“David’s well-being remains of the utmost importance to us and we are committed to providing the ongoing necessary support we require during this period. We are unable to comment further at this stage.”

They previously suspended the 42-year-old from his job over the video reportedly featuring former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

UEFA is also investigating Coote’s comments about Jurgen Klopp.

On Wednesday, Di Sun newspaper published photos allegedly taken during the European summer championship, claiming Coote inhaled white powder through rolled-up US banknotes. All claims are untrue and Coote never comments on them.

Di Sun says they sent Coote photos to a friend more than once during the tournament.

The BBC has never independently verified the videos or photos, but they are not contacting Coote for comment.

UEFA says it will not launch an investigation into possible breaches of its disciplinary rules, with an “ethics and disciplinary inspector appointed”.

The European governing body says Coote has been withdrawn from international duty this week, adding: “The UEFA Referees’ Committee will immediately suspend David Coote until further notice on November 11 – ahead of the upcoming round of UEFA matches – if we become aware of this inappropriate behavior.” behavior.”
