Pistons pay tribute to ‘Bad Boys’ with 2024-25 City Edition uniforms

Detroit — The Pistons, along with the rest of the league, officially unveiled their Nike NBA City Edition uniforms for the 2024-2025 season on Thursday.

The uniforms pay tribute to the “Bad Boys” era, which won back-to-back championships in 1989 and 1990. The Pistons will debut their City Edition uniforms against the Chicago Bulls on Monday night at Little Caesars Arena.

The bone-colored sweater plays off the skull-and-crossbones theme of the famous Bad Boys-inspired logo. Pistons lettering is placed on the chest with vintage-inspired orange jersey numbers. An orange stripe down the side of the uniforms is accented with a repeating monochromatic number design 89-90.

The uniforms will also pay tribute to legendary coach Chuck Daly, who led the Pistons to five consecutive Eastern Conference Finals, three consecutive NBA Finals appearances and two consecutive titles. The jersey jock tag features a special “back-2-back” emblem with Daly’s signature.

The Pistons will wear their City Edition jerseys a total of thirteen times, six of which will be at home. Each home game will also feature a Bad Boys field design. It will showcase Detroit in a classic font at center court and modernized crackled logos on either side of the playing surface.

A Detroit Bad Boys retail collection, including the 2024-25 Nike NBA City Edition jersey and shorts, is available at Pistons313shop.com.
