Fatal crash in Reno under investigation, speed plays a role

An investigation is underway after one person was killed in a crash in Reno on Wednesday evening.

Crews responded to multiple reports of a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Moya Blvd. and Silver Shores Dr. around 9:45 pm on November 13. Medical personnel pronounced one of the drivers dead at the scene.

The other driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The Reno Police Department MAIT (Major Accident Investigation Team) is conducting the investigation. Authorities say the impairment is currently under investigation, but speed was a factor in this crash.

The identity of the deceased has not been released.
