Jax Taylor on Brittany Cartwright hooking up with his boyfriend

Brittany Cartwright‘s new romance with Jax Taylor‘s friend becomes a he-said-she-said between the two exes.

“We were sitting at my house and her phone was on the coffee table and a message popped up, and I looked at it. It was a simple message from Julian (Sensley)but it was at night,” Taylor, 45, claimed during the Thursday, November 14, episode of the “Bravo’s Hot Microphone” podcast. “It was just a very strange message. I caught her in a few lies. I got it out of her an hour into the conversation (when) she finally broke down and told me.

Taylor added that he was “just in shock.”

Taylor and Cartwright, 35, started dating in 2015 and married four years later. Cartwright, who shares three-year-old son Cruz with Taylor, filed for divorce in August months after the couple informally split.

Their former Vanderpump Rules costar Lala Kent recently claimed that Cartwright was dating Sensley. The Valley star, however, downplayed the connection on her own episode of the podcast “Bravo’s Hot Mic”.aired on Monday, November 11, claiming it was a one-time encounter.

‘I didn’t think I would get in touch with his friend. It wasn’t planned. I tried not to go after any of his friends. That’s not how it happened,” Cartwright said, adding that her relationship with Sensley began over text and that she had no regrets about the affair. “I could tell this guy was flirting with me. I always flirted with him. He’s really my type.”

For his part, Taylor claimed Thursday that he and Cartwright had expressly forbidden them from dating their mutual friends, contradicting Cartwright’s own account.

“When we broke up, we agreed (and) said, ‘Hey, listen, we can see other people,’” Taylor recalls. “We thought maybe we should go our separate ways and be with other people dated to see if we were a good fit, but one of the rules was that we weren’t allowed to have friends or we didn’t know anyone.”

Taylor further claimed that it wouldn’t have bothered him if Cartwright was in a relationship with a stranger, but the fact that Sensley was a friend added a layer of complexity. (According to Taylor, he also caught Cartwright sending Sensley “naked photos” in July after they discussed a possible reconciliation.)

“I felt like it was a bit of a slap in the face,” Taylor claimed. “There were five (or) six months where I didn’t see anyone, but this happened. …We were divorced, but we were still hanging out (and at the same time) she was dating this guy. … I definitely got a taste of my own medicine.

He continued, “It just didn’t feel right. It left a very bad taste in my mouth, and that’s where the downward spiral started for me. The last eight months of my life were hell. I went into the deep end.”

During Cartwright’s appearance, she told a different story, claiming there was never a “no dating in the friend group” rule.

“(Jax and I) didn’t have no-dating in the friend group policy,” she stated. “We never talked about that, because why would we? First of all, I didn’t think I would hook up with his friend. It wasn’t planned. I tried not to go after any of his friends. That’s not how it happened.”

Cartwright also claimed that the couple agreed not to bring dates to their then-shared home. According to her, Taylor broke that rule.

“I don’t know if he had anyone around Cruz, but he definitely had people at my house because I caught him both times,” Cartwright claimed. “I only caught him twice. I’m sure there were other times, but I caught him twice and I was like, man! … Jax doesn’t have a leg to stand on.”

Taylor has not publicly discussed Cartwright’s allegations. We weekly reached out for comment.

After Cartwright filed for divorce, Taylor checked herself into an inpatient mental health facility he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and PTSD.

“I went crazy (and) I threw furniture,” Taylor said, noting that the discovery of the alleged NSFW text chain between Cartwright and Sensley was his “breaking point.”

Hours after Taylor’s “Hot Mic” episode dropped, Cartwright seemingly responded.

“Oooo, I can’t wait to record my podcast this week,” she wrote via her Instagram Stories, adding three Pinocchioemojis in style to allude to the prospect that Taylor lied in his appearance.
