Man wanted in connection with GO train attacks in Pickering identified

The search is on for a man accused of violently assaulting two women on the GO train in Pickering just hours apart.

Police have identified the suspect as Christopher Otoo, 31, of Clarington.

Both incidents took place on Monday.

First, police were called to the Pickering GO station around 7:40 p.m. after a woman traveling eastbound on the 6:50 p.m. train said she was attacked by the man. According to police, the victim was punched several times in the face before the suspect got off the train.

The second attack occurred on the eastbound 8:20 p.m. train and police responded around 9:20 p.m. A woman also said she was attacked by the same man.

Otoo is wanted for assault occasioning bodily harm, assault, theft under $5,000 and three counts of failure to comply with probation order.
