Two UConn students arrested after reenacting viral TikTok video in dining hall – NBC New York

Two UConn students have been arrested in connection with a terrifying incident in a campus dining hall last week.

It happened on Nov. 7 when someone entered the Connecticut dining hall and yelled at students to get on the floor while implying he had a gun.

According to UConn police, that person was a student holding a cell phone and reenacting a viral TikTok video while a second student recorded the incident on his cell phone.

The student who was holding the phone and yelling was charged with second-degree breach of peace, first-degree threatening/exhibiting a firearm, and conspiracy to commit first-degree threatening/exhibiting a firearm.

The student who recorded the incident was charged with second-degree breach of peace and conspiracy to commit menacing/exhibiting a firearm.

Both were released on $50,000 bond.
