Wythe County Sheriff's Office announces a new patrol car design

WYTHE COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — The cars that Wythe County deputies drive will have a new look.

The Wythe County Sheriff’s Office announced the design — which features an American flag behind the office’s name — in a Facebook post Wednesday.

“Featuring the American flag, this design is dedicated to honoring the courage and sacrifice of our patriots and veterans,” the agency wrote. “It serves as a symbol of gratitude to those who served our country and a reminder of the freedoms they helped protect. Our hope is that this new design not only shows our respect for our veterans, but also strengthens the bond between our community and those who work every day to keep it safe.”

The agency added that they are “proud to carry forward this symbol” as a reminder of the sacrifices of veterans and active military personnel.
