Ohio man killed in crash on I-65 in Jefferson County

An Ohio man died after a single-vehicle crash in Jefferson County on Thursday afternoon.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said 57-year-old James Aaron Christopher Lusk, of Seven Hills, was fatally injured when the 2025 Nissan Rogue he was driving left the roadway and struck a concrete barrier.

ALEA said the crash occurred just before 1 p.m. on Interstate 65 near the 264 mile marker, about a mile north of Birmingham.

Lusk was pronounced dead at the scene.
