Man arrested for forced marriage and rape of minor girl in Satna

Satna (Madhya Pradesh): A man was arrested Wednesday for kidnapping an underage girl and raping her for several months and sent to jail. According to reports, a 20-year-old youth kidnapped the girl from Nadan area under Dehat police station in Maihar and took her to Mumbai where he forcibly married her and raped her.

The girl who left her home to herd her goats on March 22 did not return home. When her relatives searched for her and did not find her, they filed a missing report at the police station. The police found the girl after eight months of searching. When the police questioned her, she narrated her story of her misery to the police.

She said the man kept her at a house in Mumbai and forcibly married her. The police arrested the man based on the girl’s statement.
