Samuels applauded Keke Palmer for speaking out about one of their “Scream Queens” co-stars who allegedly making a racist comment on set.

“I am incredibly proud of Keke for speaking out about her experiences on ‘Scream Queens,’” ​​the 30-year-old actress — who appeared on Season 1 of the show — wrote in the statement. shared on Instagram Thursday.

Samuels said she was “incredibly proud” after Palmer called out one of their co-stars for allegedly making a racist comment on set.
“That’s what Keke does, she speaks and stands up for herself and others,” Samuels wrote in a statement shared on Instagram on Thursday.

The “Gifted” alum also claimed that the Ryan Murphy series — which ran from 2015 to 2016 — was not an easy show to work on.

“’Scream Queens’ was a very challenging show for me,” Samuels admitted. “Keke was one of the few people who stood up for me.”

The actress, who played the character Grace Gardner, then expressed her gratitude to Palmer, 31, for defending her despite the consequences.

Palmer – who played Zayday on the series – responded to Samuels’ praise in the comments.

Samuels’ statement came just days after the Los Angeles Times published an excerpt from Palmer’s upcoming memoir: “Master of Me: The Secret to Mastering Your Story.”

In her book, Palmer claims that a co-star – referred to by the pseudonym ‘Brenda’ – had a ‘clash’ with another cast member on set.

When Palmer tried to diffuse the situation by telling them to “have fun and respect each other,” Brenda allegedly fired back, “Keke, literally, just don’t do that.” Who do you think you are? Martin F-king Luther King?”

Neither Palmer nor Samuels have publicly identified who Brenda is.

Palmer and Samuels starred in the series alongside Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Lea Michele and Billie Lourd.

Elsewhere in the memoir, Palmer recalls another sour incident involving “Scream Queens,” which Murphy co-created.

The Nickelodeon alum claims Murphy ‘torn into’ her because she missed filming to fulfill another job commitment she had booked, as she was initially told she had the day off.
