Friday morning light rain and clouds

Precipitation totals across the area came in at around 0.50″ as expected. Conditions Friday morning and afternoon will still be fairly cloudy, with isolated light lake effect rain. Dry air will move into Michiana Friday night to help bring a few breaks in cloud, but clouds return early Saturday morning. High temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will be in the low 50s this weekend and there is a chance of an isolated shower on Sunday. Rain remains in the forecast on Tuesday and Wednesday, ahead of a significant shift in the pattern. Highs early in the week will be in the upper 50s and will drop to the lower 40s next Friday. In addition, some snowflakes are also possible next week.

OUR NEXT FIRST WARNING: The light rain will change to lake effect showers on Friday and should end by mid-day. This weekend looks pleasant and warm (compared to average) A short weak cold front will pass through on Sunday bringing the chance of showers, while we’ll be looking at our next weather maker next week which has great potential to bring our first snowflakes of the season.
