Silent auction to raise money for Washford school minibus

Annie, aged six, is a student at the school and said she wanted to go to “lots of different farms”.

Mrs Merch added: “Annie comes from a farming family, as do many of our children.

“Children who are mainly outside in a classroom is not always conducive to learning.

“They want to be outside, they are used to being free and learning from the experiences around them.”

She added that the school having its own transport was “very important” to show students “what there is to do”.

The auction will be held online and people can participate until November 17.

People can bid on family outings, vacations or cases of cider; everything on offer is supplied by local Somerset businesses.
