Residents of the Kilimanjaro region, Tanzaniagrappling with the heartbreaking news of a man’s death.

Hassan Ali was found dead at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Sumbawanga, with police arriving as quickly as possible.

The police commander, Simon Maigwa, confirmed the report when he and his officers found the cold, lifeless body on the ground.

“I received a call from Good Samaritans saying they had seen the body of an adult man. When I arrived at the scene, I called the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the forensic department. I ask the public to cooperate with us and anyone who has any information about Hassan’s death, please inform us,” he said.

One of the deceased’s children claimed them father left them ten years ago while he moved in with another woman.

A few days ago, 40-year-old Hassan arrived at his first family’s home and asked his first wife if he could see his children.

However, the woman sent him packing because it was late at night and they were sleeping, and asked him to come another time.

Juma Ngaina Musuya, a resident, said he heard the painful news of the man’s death through a phone call.

“I was informed of the situation and the caller told me that I could know the deceased. When I arrived, I did not recognize the man. The people who gathered identified Hassan in different ways. Others identified him as a worker in the city while others like a worker in the city family man,” he said, adding that it was the second time the area received such news of the death.

Separately, 38-year-old Silas Ndosi accompanied his colleagues to a funeral near their home in Shanghai, Arusha.

He was found dead the next dawn, November 12; Bruises were visible on his body, with blood seeping from the nose, mouth and ears.

Police took the body to the morgue as an investigation into the death began; the man was going through a divorce at the time of his death.
