Cayuga County man dies from injuries sustained in Onondaga crash

A Cayuga County man has died after a car crash in the city of Onondaga earlier this month. Riley Besner, 21, of the Village of Cayuga, succumbed to his injuries Thursday morning, first responders said.

Besner was a front-seat passenger in a vehicle that crashed on the West Seneca Turnpike after the driver lost control. The incident remains under investigation and authorities promise updates once the case is concluded.

The community is mourning the loss as officials try to determine the cause of the crash.
