Meghan McCain Blames Liberals for RFK Jr. Appointment by Trump as HHS secretary: ‘Direct consequence of the Democrats’

Conservative commentator Meghan McCain blamed Democrats for the president-elect Donald Trump’s appointment of Robert F. Kennedy Jr will become Secretary of Health and Human Services on Thursday.

After the president-elect announced he would nominate Kennedy, McCain wrote“RFK will become HHS as a direct result of Democrats and Fauchi (sic) blatantly lying to mothers in this country, putting our children second to adults and radicalizing them during COVID.”

During the Covid-19 pandemic, McCain was a vocal critic from the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauciwho helped lead Trump’s White House Coronavirus Task Force.

Despite previously supporting Fauci’s efforts, McCain went further criticize his “cult of personality” and his handling of the pandemic in the United States.

Trump announced Kennedy’s nomination in a statement on Thursday, writing:

For far too long, Americans have been crushed by the food industrial complex and pharmaceutical companies that have engaged in deception, disinformation and disinformation when it comes to public health. The safety and health of all Americans is the most important role of any government, and HHS will play a major role in helping ensure everyone is protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming health crisis in this country. Mr. Kennedy will restore these agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research and beacons of transparency, to end the chronic disease epidemic and make America great and healthy again!

Like McCain, so has Kennedy critical of Fauci, even though Fauci has done that described Kennedy as a ‘deeply disturbed individual’.

McCain had mixed reactions to Trump’s other controversial nominations this week.

She protested Trump called his decision to nominate Matt Gaetz as attorney general “a damn joke.” interrogate“Am I going to jail?”

However, they Congratulations Tulsi Gabbard for his appointment as Director of National Intelligence, tweeted: “Congratulations
@TulsiGabbard – we love you so much!”

McCain too (jokingly?) suggested that WWE Hall of Famer and Trump surrogate Hulk Hogan appointed director of the FBI.
