Odyssey-Magellan Magnet School in Appleton has been named the Best Elementary School in Wisconsin by U.S. News & World Report Ranking 2025.

The publication analyzed 47,573 elementary schools in the U.S. for this year’s annual rankings. Schools were rated based on the number of students who were proficient or above in math and reading/language arts.

Half of the publication’s formula assessed test scores themselves, while the other half processed test results in the context of socioeconomic demographics. There is no national ranking. Rankings are calculated at the state and district levels.
