There is talk of the release of 23 Russians brought from the Kursk region to Ukraine – Ombudsman – Russian Politics & Diplomacy

MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. The names of 23 Russians transferred from the Kursk region to Ukraine have already been identified and Kiev is considering the documents provided by the Russian side for their release, Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova said.

“The dialogue with the International Committee of the Red Cross and with the Ukrainian Ombudsman on the procedure for the return of the concerned residents of the Kursk region continues. I have sent the complete package of documents regarding 23 citizens who are in the Sumy region today. so that these documents could be used to allow them to cross the border and return to Russia,” Moskalkova said.

The documents are currently being studied by the Verkhovna Rada’s Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmitry Lubinets, and his office.

Earlier, Moskalkova said that 13 civilians taken from the Kursk region had been identified in the Sumy region of Ukraine.

“We have now identified additional individuals – 23 men, women and children – who we have received reliable information are in the Sumy region. We have confirmed details of their relatives. We have documents confirming their identity,” Moskalkova said. .

She added that these people include a newborn baby, a grandmother with a three-year-old girl and a wheelchair user.
