Woman charged with sexual indecency with child

CLEBURNE COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) – A 35-year-old woman is in custody after investigators say she “sexually harassed” a child.

On Nov. 4, Cleburne County District Court Judge Lance Wright found probable cause to arrest Alicia Nicole Long of Heber Springs on suspicion of sexual indecency with a child, a class D felony, and third-degree child endangerment, a class B misdemeanor.

The charges stem from allegations the victim made to sheriff’s deputies on the night of November 3.

According to the affidavit, Long had been drinking “a lot of alcohol” at the time of the alleged crime.

After questioning Long, officers arrested Long on November 14 and booked her into the Cleburne County Detention Center.

She is being held on a $10,000 bond pending a Nov. 19 court appearance.

Due to the graphic nature of the alleged crime and to protect the identity of the victim, K8 News has chosen not to release certain details about the case.
