Driver seriously injured after car crashes into tree near Missouri University

WARRENSBURG, Mo. (KCTV) – A 27-year-old driver was seriously injured after her Audi left the road near the University of Central Missouri and struck a tree.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that on Thursday, November 14, around 10:35 p.m., emergency services were called to the area of ​​Pertle Springs Rd. and Par Dr., near Pertle Springs Lake, about 1 mile south of the University of Central Missouri, with reports of a single-vehicle crash.

When first responders arrived, they said they discovered a 27-year-old Warrensburg woman was driving her 2007 Audi A4 northbound when the car left the roadway for an unknown reason.

State Troopers said the Audi struck a ditch and then a tree. The driver, who was wearing her seat belt at the time, was taken to Western Missouri Medical with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation showed that the car suffered minor damage. No further information has been released.
