Dolly Parton's older brother has died, family says

(Gray News) – Dolly Parton’s older brother, David Parton, has died, according to their younger sister.

Stella Parton created a message on Xformerly Twitter, announced the death on Friday morning.

“My brother David passed away peacefully this morning. It is never easy to say goodbye to a loved one, but he has been given his angel wings and is now at peace,” she wrote.

David Parton was one of Dolly Parton’s eleven siblings. Their parents had six boys and six girls.

According to Dolly Parton websiteDavid Parton was the second oldest. Dolly Parton, 78, is the fourth oldest.
