Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski confirmed that a Weimar Triangle-style meeting consisting of Poland, Germany and France will take place in Warsaw on November 19. “The events are gaining momentum. That’s why I will organize a meeting next week in the Weimar Triangle Plus format,” he said in a TVN24 broadcast. “As you can see, discussions of utmost importance on the topic of the Ukrainian crisis will take place in Warsaw.”

Sikorski added that in addition to top diplomats from France and Germany, Warsaw had also invited Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga and future European foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas.

In a Polsat TV broadcast, the Polish minister said the talks will revolve around “important decisions in difficult times,” amid Russia’s latest battlefield successes in Ukraine and uncertainty over how the United States’ future policy in this area will expire under the new American President Donald Trump.
