Robert Blais, owner of Blais Market, located in the business district of this small community, was hit twice in the head and robbed of the day’s earnings as he got into his van after closing up shop for the night.

The theft took place shortly before midnight.

Hundreds of patients and employees evacuated the Central Maine Medical Center medical office building Monday afternoon after receiving its second bomb threat in a week.

Bomb-sniffing dogs checked the building at 12 High St. in Lewiston for nearly two hours. No explosives were found, CMMC spokesman Randy Dustin said.
