A multi-vehicle crash on a Massachusetts highway followed the state police pursuit

Three vehicles crashed near a Gloucester bridge Friday after Massachusetts State Police followed a car that was driving “erratically,” according to a Massachusetts State Police news release.

The crash disrupted all lanes of northbound Route 128 in Gloucester near about an hour.

What led to the crash was the pursuit of a Toyota Camry, which was first spotted by an officer around 2pm when it failed to stop in Woburn before speeding in heavy traffic and weaving between lanes several times.
